Aussie, I feel a disturbance in the universe because a cake was promised, and not delivered so I'd like to correct this by posting you a cake.

A shop down the road from me makes these delicious chocolate babkas. They're more like half bread/half cake so have a good shelf life and will be fine by post.

Name the post office and I'll send it on Monday.

A dead letter office (DLO) is a facility within a postal system where undeliverable mail is processed.

Classification as a dead letter is one of the few instances where postal personnel are allowed to violate secrecy of correspondence, ostensibly to search for clues as to the letter's origin or destination. Countries must also set up regulations for the disposal of dead letters, particularly when they contain items of value. Some very valuable items have turned up in undeliverable mail, including a stolen painting by Marc Chagall which turned up in a United States Postal Service sorting center in Topeka, Kansas in January 2002

Letters sent c/o the post office is still just a letter. It's put in a pigeon hole for 30 days then if it hasn't been collected, it's returned to sender. There is no record or tracking. Stop making a fool of yourself.
