Not so, the obvious solution is to require that all knives have a visible serial number, are registered and all people who wish to own a knife must be licensed to do so.
Self defence would not be a reason to own a knife.
All knives to be kept in secure locked containers bolted directly to the framework of the dwelling and only the licence holder to have access to the key.


So what's on the cards for the unlicensed knife holder?
