Proud Boy Joe Biggs receives 17 years in Jan. 6 seditious conspiracy case

WASHINGTON — Joe Biggs, a Proud Boys leader convicted of seditious conspiracy who the government says "served as an instigator and leader" during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, was sentenced to 17 years in federal prison on Thursday.

It is among the longest sentences in Capitol riot cases. The record is the 18-year sentence given to Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes, also convicted of seditious conspiracy, after prosecutors sought 25 years in federal prison in his case.

Proud Boys and Bobby aren't responsible for their actions. Donald is three years old with his face on his feeder mug.

How do these sentences compare with those of any BLM or ANTIFA activists?  Seems like a spiteful reaction to the panic these people caused when they protested against those who had spent years tacitly endorsing the violence of BLM and ANTIFA.

All Jack Smith has to do is make the connection and the big fella will go down as Joe Biggs' terrorist cell leader.

The judge has already said she wants those at the top to face justice. This is her chance.

Come March next year, we'll see the trial, with a sentencing date hopefully before the election. The big fella will get an appeal, but it remains to be seen whether he will be granted bail.

He's indicted on three other serious cases, a total of 91 charges. With his Russian connections, he is a serious flight risk.

Sorry, Mr Trump, bail DENIED.

Few members of either organisation have been convicted of violence. You're free to show us differently, of course.

The Proud Boys are devoted solely to violence. They're listed as a terrorist group in multiple countries, including Canada and New Zealand.

They could reduce the sentence - I don't know what he did so can't say if it was reasonable or not. Notice that they threw Trump under the BUS as is deserved.

What are you supposed to do when the President sends you to raise an insurrection ? You have to have some sympathy for these poor ignorant dopes.
