No, not "so-called": they are actual convicted insurrectionists.

The latest one was convicted by a Trump-appointed Judge.

These are convicted criminals that you're defending, and many of them are being sent to prison by rightwing, Trump appointed Judges.

And, the ramifications are: the US has less violent criminals out on the street today than they did yesterday.  That can only be a good thing.

the ones crying now were all cheering whilst trump was stacking it with  right wing nutters  ...

their disappointment stems from the fact that those nutters aren't as nutty as they are

Criminal defendant Trump "has all the best people", until they do something the MAGA cult doesn't like - then they're not such big fans.

These terrorists are being sent to prison by Trump-appointed Judges, in many cases, and the decision that blocks prisoners from having recourse to federal judges even when they claim they were wrongfully convicted was handed down by a rightwing majority, Trump-stacked SCOTUS.

I don't know about that, Belgarion. The ramifications are that anyone involved in seditious conspiracy is going to get into big trouble.

Do you have a problem with that?

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-66676581

The video at the bottom shows what the Proud Boys were up to at the Capitol on Jan 6, prior to Mr Trump's speech: "we're going to take down the Capitol".

Another Proud Boy tells him not to shout that. They must show discipline in front of the FAKE NEWS media.

Another Proud Boy talks into a radio, awaiting instructions.

Biggs understands the serious nature of seditious conspiracy:

Quote:
In court, a tearful Biggs apologised for his actions and said he had been "seduced" by the crowd on the day of the riot.

"I just moved forward. My curiosity got the better of me," he added. "I'm not a terrorist. I don't have hate in my heart."

"I know that I have to be punished, and I understand," Biggs said.

But he did not carry out a minor, random attack. Biggs led a militia to storm the Capitol to stop the certification of a president. His team coordinated with members at the Trump rally to spearhead a riot. Thousands of people, hundreds of injuries and five deaths. It was, as Biggs said on the day, an attempted revolution.

The ramifications of that are far more serious, wouldn't you say?

Again, you and your fellow travellers are not grasping the concept here. The right of appeal has been severely curtailed. You are all cheering because the people affected at the moment are Trump supporters, however what will you say the next time some criminal whose politics you approve of falls foul of the same decision?

The decision means that prisoners will no longer
have recourse to federal judges even when they
claim they were wrongfully convicted.  In other
words, federal courts will no longer be able to
petition the SCOTUS for prisoner exoneration,
sentence reduction, or release.

It is the legislation itself that is the issue, not who introduced it. You are avoiding the question.

Please read it carefully. It's a SCOTUS ruling:

The US supreme court on Monday gutted constitutional protections that for years have provided a federal lifeline to innocent prisoners facing prolonged incarceration or even execution following wrongful convictions stemming from poor legal counsel given to them by the states.

In a 6 to 3 ruling, the newly-dominant rightwing majority of the nation’s highest court barred federal courts from hearing new evidence that was not previously presented in a state court as a result of the defendant’s ineffective legal representation.

The decision means that prisoners will no longer have recourse to federal judges even when they claim they were wrongfully convicted because their lawyers failed to conduct their cases properly.

Now, who stacked the SCOTUS with the rightwing judges who made this ruling?

More likely the "left wing" kids were sheltering the victims of the "right wing" kids bullying.

You know, all that distancing oneself from people who live lives of pure garbage means setting oneself quite aside, no?

All those poor, acne ridden, awkward, fat, red-haired, Jewish, Muslim, Asian, Aboriginal, single parents, queer etc kids you wanted no part of.

Well, the left kids got to know them. Get to know them.

See Horseboy, whilst you congratulate yourself for crapping on people from a great height, i get to know them. I come to care for them ... i go on to represent their voices when they need amplification.

You call this "virtue signalling". I call eating a cucumber in McDonald's for attention "virtue signalling".

What a diverse tapestry we have!

But you only get to know people like you. I just find that so tragic.

It's like, with all of you self- and much repeated successes ... you've just gone and gosh darn missed the point. And that's just so sad for you.

But you'll just shrug that off and count your money or root your horses or whatever else you can manage to do while congratulating yourself for being a one-dimesional bully.

so mothra announces her life of love, fulfillment and compassion by accusing unknown strangers on the internet of beastiality Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin.

why are the left so lacking in self awareness.

the superior man feels compassion for their suffering
he, of course, refuses to return fire as he is very comfortable in his own awesome skin  Smiley Smiley

One of those jocks appears to disagree, dear. He's most contrite.

Quote:
In court, a tearful Biggs apologised for his actions and said he had been "seduced" by the crowd on the day of the riot.

He was just swept up in the moment, you see. A grey Winter's day, Washington, DC, Biggs saw the beautiful Capitol building, designed by William Thornton in 1793, and thought, that is a building we need to invade.

Biggs marched his brave troops there from the carpark, received his orders from Roger Stone on the walkie talkie, and knew then and there: this moment will go down in history as the day we get our revenge on the goody two shoes who never got laid and used to dob us all in.

Quote:
"I know that I have to be punished, and I understand," Biggs said.
