They are on video committing the crimes.
Their crime is not sedition, but embarrassing and frightening some politicians and bureaucrats. The same ones who had watched on with tacit approval while groups like ANTIFA and BLM ran riot through the country. When a taste of the same came their way the politicians and bureaucrats were terrified, made to look weak and the embarrassment they suffered made them a laughing stock.

Imagine if a crowd of patriotic tourists crashed our parliament, maced, tazered and beat up the federal police, caused dozens of disabilities and five deaths.
Imagine that they conspired with a political campaign to stop an election being certified. Imagine that they Tweeted their intention to stage a "revolution", lynch the Governor General and prevent, for the first time in the history of the Australian Commonwealth, the peaceful transfer of power.
Imagine if they said they won't stop there, but are part of a "movement" that is training in military tactics, amassing caches of weapons and plan to keep the struggle going, that they won't rest until the democratically elected party is violently thrown from office and a dictator installed in their place.
