-common continental ancestry
-common shared phenotypic traits
-common genotypic markers
-common grouped clustered ancestry

'Race' was a presumed science until the 20th century.

It's no surprise that people worldwide prior to the 20th century discriminated by 'race', most perniciously by the presumed 'scientific' notion of 'racial' moral, social and religious superiority predicated on 'race'.
