Yep, just keep washing and sanitising those hands which, while important, does diddly squat to stop you inhaling an airborne virus that floats in the air like smoke and can linger for hours.

Unless you breathe through your hands, of course.

I had a bit of a chuckle when I saw these signs on a travelator at Belmont Forum this morning. Top and bottom, both sides.

Hand sanitiser everywhere, now we also have UV sanitised travelator and escalator handrails.

Not a word about the one thing that would make a real difference to the spread of Covid, flu and other airborne viruses.

MASKS.

Masks don't work it's clear you don't know the difference between RCT (Random Control Trial) and observational studies. RCT's are the Gold standard for testing it can't get any better than that.

78 Random Control Trials with masks show they made no difference it doesn't matter if it's N95 or surgical mask.

And how many times have I tried to tell you that it has been widely misinterpreted?

As you can see, Cochrane themselves have admitted it.

Speaking of aquascoot, I haven't seen much of him in this section of the forum lately... has he finally seen the light and now understands that SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) isn't "mild" after all?

Perhaps the fact that nearly 100 Australians a week are still dying of Covid has convinced him? Took a while but I do believe we finally got there.

Unlike you i looked at these RCTs and they showed no difference with wearing or not wearing a mask.

It was the editor not the authors of that study that posted your link.

The mask mandates were for any masks those mandates were based on nothing more than wishful thinking or in your case branch covidian religious belief.

The cochrane report is taken seriously by those who understand science. RCTs are the highest gold standard for testing how many RCTs say they don't work is it 78?
Those who trust the science will accept masks make little to no difference.

Germany had N95 mask mandates how did they compare to Sweden which had none?

In the other mask thread you will find i posted numerous times you need a N95 anything else is garbage. After looking at the evidence i was wrong N95s don't work. There was little to no difference between no mask and surgical mask and little to no difference between surgical and N95

Masks don't work for covid you need a proper respirator and eye protection.
