There’s no excuse why larger figured people should dress badly.
Yes there absolutely is. And not just larger people, anyone.
Money is a prohibitive factor in many people presenting well. When your choices are between a fetching blouse nad paying the electicity bill, a sensible person would forgo the blouse.
But it's not just that. It may be a parent whose been up all night and had various things spit up on them since, it may be a disabled person who does the best they can.
The point is, as it is with all superficial judgments, do not. Because you've absolutely no idea what brought that person the that moment in this life anymore than they have any idea what led you to your moment of qualification.
I think the point is to judge people by the content of their character, not how they present to one's prejudiced view.
Yes in some circumstances very true. I can vouch to that when I never put much thought into myself when I had bubbies and kept a tight budget… nice new clothes were last on my list…..op shops were a blessing though.
A funny story I recall when I was in my early 20s as a working girl (which btw I wore a light blue uniform to avoid having to wear something different every day) I had parked my car and was walking towards train station…about 6.30 am….most men wore suits… and I saw a stressed female waving her arms, running after her husband about “the car keys!”
She had pink fluffy slippers on, pyjamas and dressing gown and rollers in her hair with a scarf.
He must’ve driven to station as she got out of bed to go with him to then take car back to house then go back to bed. Ooops he took car keys with him by error!
Another time on a crappy Monday morning I had no make up on and looked washed out, hair a mess, top was disheveled and wrong colour for my skin tone…
walking up Main Street of our locale…..I’m met by 2 tall well dressed young gentlemen with camera and note pad/pen…to ask me an opinion for local paper WITH my photo!
OMG why of all days when I looked like crap
I thought just one week in paper along with others and then it will be forgotten.
A couple years later, I type my name in Google for the heck of it…and to my horror… that photo of me looking pale and tired was in Google!
Yep… I know now that if I look okay… I don’t run into anyone I know or have anything famous happen… but if I’m dressing a bit sloppy… there they all are
