Actually, they don't. Their navy is smaller and less able than ours. It forms an important part of their economy, transporting goods and people between the various islands that makes up Indonesia. It they were to withdraw them to invade us they would cripple the Indonesian economy severely. They would also have to face the RAAF and the RAN which would find their ships easy pickings. The inventory includes 33 F-16 Fighting Falcons as the main fighters (from the United States)
supplemented by five Su-27 and eleven Su-30 (from Russia),

The Indonesian Air Force also intends to purchase 50 KF-X fighter jets from Korea.[5]
As of 2023, the Indonesian Air Force purchased 42 Rafale from France,
[6] 12 Mirage 2000 jets from Qatar,[7] along with C-130J transport aircraft
and a Medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle.[8]
The airforce also signed an MoU for acquiring 24 Boeing F-15EX fighter jets as of August 2023.[9]
