Actually Lisa, I already proved my existence by interacting you through this medium at least. You failed to launch.

And now you changed the goal post and are now asking if I'm human or a robot. I said I could prove that I'm human by meeting you.

You are now saying that you would not be satisfied that the person who met you was me and I could have been sent by an AI or a robot that goes by the name of Linus.

In any case, if I'm an AI or robot I still exist. But I don't know of any robot or AI currently that can ask human beings on its own volition to go meet people. So, someone would have instructed the AI/Robot to contact whoever meets you or the person who meets you is me. In either case, there's a human being.

Unlike your God, I interact with the material world in some way and this can be witnessed by anyone.

The only person you are losing in your maze of half-baked ideas is yourself.

No no no no no....you keep holding onto YOUR mistake like a comfort pillow.

I’ve explained quite a number of times now that you are to provide the exemplar to prove your existence as a real person (not just a robot or computer program designed to chat online) to me. You’ve not done this yet that’s ALL you have to do.

As stated earlier ... once YOU successfully provide the exemplar for proof for such an easy task then I will use YOUR exemplar to prove the existence of God. I can’t proceed unless you provide that exemplar Linus.

Prove YOU exist as a real person to me.

As far as I’m concerned Linus doesn’t exist and is just a fake ID shared by a number of other individuals or computer programs designed to chat online and to make us think that Linus is 1 real person.

...I interact with the material world in some way and this can be witnessed by anyone.

👆 Words on a screen. Pixels. That’s all they are. I don’t know if the statement is true or not .

1. I can set up a video call with you. There, you can see me, hear me, and become aware of intentions and emotions ( no AI/Robot has intentions or emotions)

2. I can organise to meet you.

3. When we meet you will see me in person and hear me you can match me to who you interacted with in the video call.

4. You could show my video call to others and have them be there at the meeting.

How would you maintain that I'm a robot then, Lisa?

Ah. You’re STILL struggling I see.

Ok ... all these points/scenarios have effectively been covered. Anyone including a robot or computer program could organise an online or offline meeting and then organise another real person to appear.

Life is short “Linus”. Say YES to God.

1. Your say so, doesn't make it so.

2. You've just ignored what I've said and with your head in the ground have deemed your victory.

3. You missed the correspondence between the person in the video call and the person who meets you, which can be corroborated by anyone who sees the video and is present at the meeting.

4. Your god cannot do something like this. He doesn't interact within the material world in any discernible way that can be readily attested to by any disinterested person

5. Therefore, he/she/it  is more likely to be a figment of your imagination or indoctrination, largely depending on what part of the world you were raised in.

6. As such, no thanks, I'm saying NO to your god or any other man-made god. We are at an impasse.

7. Linus- the AI/Robot- over and out. Grin

1. That’s what you keep doing. Why can’t I do the same?

2. As per 1.

3. No I never missed that hilarious scenario. You merely introduced a 3rd party who could well be in cahoots with the robot or computer program.

4. Absolutely wrong!

5. Even more wrong than the wrong in 4.

6. Does this mean you’re still going to pretend to be an Atheist moving forward even though we both now know you’re really an Agnostic?

7. Thank you for finally coming clean about the reality of your non existence.

A final remark though : I will continue to wait for you to come back to me with an exemplar. Hopefully said exemplar will be credible and of a standard which I can then adopt to prove the existence of God. Until then .... the ball is in your court.

Have a lovely day.

In cahoots with an AI? Sounds like the AI is pretty human and no AI can connive with humans to fool someone. They're not that sophisticated...yet.  You're just left with me, human Linus.

You had no reason at all to have assumed that I was an AI in the first place. On what grounds do you accept that others that you talk to on this forum are human and thereby exclude me?

The onus is on you to prove that I'm an AI.

In any case, the initial goal was to show that I exist. It was discharged through my interaction with you. And that this interaction could be taken further outside this medium. All of it verifiable by any disinterested party. Your god cannot do the same. End of story.

So what does Atheism have to offer then...

Well, of course, nothing tangible.  It does however offer the
benefits of openly accepting the tenets of modern science,
rather than being tied—almost literally—to the mythology
and antique beliefs of multi-millennia past which often distort
the actuality of real-world events.

I could well ask what tangible benefits does religion have to
offer its followers—other than a path of false truths, subjugation,
fear, delusion and disempowerment.

And there's this...

Historically, religion and its cause has been the catalyst for
more territorial wars than any other cause.  How many wars
have been started solely in the cause of atheism?

No it wasn't.  The goal of this thread was to discuss
whether or not atheism existed as such.  It had nothing
to do with artificial intelligence.

You really need to keep your mind and your responses
focussed on the debate at hand, rather than derailing
threads by veering off into territory framed by yourself
merely to push your own irrelevant claims.

It exists.
It exists as a contingent of theism.  It does not exist, as its very name attests, without concepts of God.

A parasitic concept and word.

I have already explained that atheism needs no god for atheism to exist.

If there were no Gods then we would all be atheists but at the same time there would have been no need to create a word to describe it.

Sorry, you didn't go back far enough where you would see I was consistent with this thread's flow. This branched-off discussion was commenced by Lisa. It is between her and myself.

I was referring to a goal she set for me. Ok?

Who appointed you topic prefect?

Meantime .... she quietly thinks to herself ... Linus could well be AusGeoff. 😩😔🥺

As she quietly exits the topic she realises .... as professed atheists this lot spent the better part of a long weekend discussing the existence of themselves and of God. 😐

How many times do you need it explained to you?

Atheism is the default position. Everything on top of that is learned.

One does not spring forth from the womb believing in anything at all.
