Too much red meat, esp the sort of crap Booby buys from supermarkets: store cattle, trucked thousands of kilometres to a feedlot where they are stuffed with grain, shot full of antibiotics and walk through high piles of sh
it.
Grass fed beef, walked to the abattoir, is a different story. But not too much. A great steak once a week, maybe some beef in a pasta dish or curry. Some vegetarian nights and white meat not red most of the time. Leafy greens at pretty much every meal. Spanakopita for lunch one way to eat a delicious dish with leafy greens.
With this sort of diet Mum really surprised our GP with the dementia not progressing fast years after the diagnosis. Then it galloped and I have a theory as to why but will keep that to myself. Fortunately Mum on her deathbed still knew who she was and who we, her kids, friend and grandchild, were.
As to fast food, there is none here! Well, pies from the local deli and pre-prepared food from the supermarket tens of kilometres away. Grease from the “local” chinese restaurant take away counter. Tried it once, that was enough

I do buy some pre-prepared meals from two great food shops. Best by far is Alps and Amici in Launceston, deelish Italian food, raw ingredients and pre-prepared meals both.
Hmmm MUST try out my pasta rolling/cutting attachments to my Kenwood Chef stand mixer and the pasta extrusion attachment and dies. Square spaghetti, OK! The dies are properly made of bronze giving pasta with rough surfaces where the sauce can stick.
