Have you voted yet?
Oct 6th, 2023 at 8:25pm

Our neighbours were telling us this afternoon (as we were gardening out the front) that they had already voted in the upcoming referendum. Apparently you can vote early under certain circumstances.

Anyway ...bottom line? 4 votes. All NO. And they reckon those who were there at the time were also voting NO (because of the chats they had together afterwards).

This referendum has made a lot of people angry. I don’t think Albo will be in that job for long.

People can't run around calling people names like 'racist', 'stupid', 'bigot' and so forth and actually expect them to buy your product.  Been that way since Day One - these people couldn't sell an ice block to a Bedouin dying of thirst at midday in the Sahara.....

The GOOD things are starting to come out - even Noel Pearson has started accepting that people with long standing families here are 'becoming Indigenous'...mumble-stumble) ... so - to me - the entire race question in Australia is becoming a more open question and one that people are now interested in.

I did predict that this was what Albo was actually doing... he scuttled this referendum from the start by saying it was a 'generous offer' (we need an offer?  Why?) but the government would work the details out for us later.... but it's only one page....

... and Lo, I beheld a Fifth Column Horseman, and he rode upon a magnificent White Knight Stallion and was clad in princely raiment ..... and his name was Voice - and all of Hell followed after him....

Yep, I've voted.

Took all of two minutes.

I vote early for every election.

Haven't queued up on a Saturday morning for about 20 years now.

I will wait to the actual day before I vote. Seems to me that too many people think voting early will give their vote more value. Roll Eyes

No - I will be working at a polling station on that day.  I am politically neutral, having no faith in any of them, and previously worked for the guv so they know I hold strong views but always do my duty first.

No - I'm fed up with "White guilt".

White people are an oppressed minority in the world -
some say we represent only 7% of the world's population.

We voted early (yesterday) get it over and done with during a week day (because we can) with less crowds, easier to find a parking spot. No queuing and done in about 3 minutes.

No.

I vote early to avoid the crowds.

When I voted there were four people in front of me.

I couldn't have spent more than 3 minutes all up inside the place.

Walked up, told them my name, took the ballot paper to the booth, made my mark, put the pencil back in the box on the desk, put the ballot paper in the plastic tub, and that was it.
