The Versailles Treaty 1919 was humiliating to Germany. Expulsion of the Palestinians is humiliating.
The Germans were honoured after defeat as opponents to the Soviets in 1946.

No, dear, the Palestinian Authority is tasked with the welfare of Gazans. Israel called off any elections putting Hamas in a position of control.

Hamas are no more than a volunteer organisation.

Of course Israel are responsible for people in Gaza. They've blockaded the city. They control everything - and everyone - who comes or goes.

Saying they're not responsible is like saying the Nazis weren't responsible for the Warsaw Ghetto.

I think a lot of Germans were quite surprised when Germany surrendered in world war one

I don't think any Germans were surprised when Germany surrendered in world war two

Total defeat allows rebirth to occur

You'd be right about Germans being surprised about WW1, but that surprise was soon replaced by a severe sense of defeat, then absolute humiliation after the signing of the Armistice and persisted until the early 1930s.

When war was declared in 1939, it was not met with a euphoric sense of patriotism by Germans as it was in 1914. There was a creeping sense of deja vu.

WWII followed. But Germany had no cause to fight WWI, Palestinians have been humiliated since 1948.

I believe that Russia may get involved -
they could give Hezbollah via Iran - guided missiles that
could hit Israeli military airports and US aircraft carriers.

Iran says to intervene if Israeli aggression on Gaza persists: Axios

The top Iranian diplomat hinted at Hezbollah's preparedness to act if the conflict escalates, warning that the resistance's actions could have significant consequences for "Israel."

Axios reported on Saturday, citing two diplomatic sources with knowledge of the situation, that Iran has delivered a strong message to "Israel" via the UN that Iran will have to intervene if the Israeli aggression on Gaza persists.

Western concern is that such intervention could potentially transform the current conflict into a regional war. Diplomatic sources have confirmed this message and conveyed it through the United Nations, namely UN envoy to the Middle East Tor Wennesland who communicated with both the Iranian and Israeli parties.

The US recently deployed an aircraft carrier group and fighter jets to the region under the pretext of deterring any escalation, with the real aim of deterring other parties from intervening.

Nevertheless, he also established Iran's redlines, stating that Iran would feel compelled to respond if "Israel" persists with its military operations, particularly if a ground offensive is initiated.
