At the end of the YK War, Sinai was in Israeli hands. The Egyptian Sinai was a negotiated settlement. It should have been Greater Gaza.

An argument based on the moral equivalency of Israel and Iran is typical progressive/sensitive/new age nonsense. Iran is a clerical fascist dictatorship which forces its morals on everyone at pain of prison or death. It also exports its hatred and weapons to other Shia tribes and fascist states.

I get the feeling that the Arab countries don't truly care about Gaza.
They could have taken all those 2.3 million people and given them better lives than
living in a hell hole prison but they did nothing.
No one with any intelligence would want to live there
with Israel able to bomb them via jet fighters whenever they want
and to control their water, food and fuel supply.
The Egyptians won't let any of them go and live in Egypt.

They are farmed, the 'Palestinians'.

And yet the Arabs are now so mad that we are on the brink of WW3 - go figure?

I think a lot of the Arabs being so mad is just a smoke screen to appease the radicals
Probably the most important person in the middle East is MBS
The young leader of Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is developing ties with Israel
The Israelis are helping to train the Saudi troops
The saudis are sharing intel on Iran with the Israelis

MBS is a progressive Arab
And he really has very little interest in the Palestinians
He hates Iran
He is a sunni
He wants his country to be successful
He is building ties with the United States
And along with Israel
Saudi Arabia is a massive importer of American weaponry

His father may have supported the Palestinians but MBS has no interest in them
Or Iran

He sees them as fundamentalists
And my bet is it won't be long until Saudi Arabia is another Dubai
Alcohol flowing freely
A much more liberal society
Women having much more rights

We should be getting behind this dude
And I think both trump and biden have been doing  just that

I have common sense if that is what you mean

Iran could genocide Jews in Iran, in the way it murders prisoners. It gives Jews there better treatment than Israel gives to its Palestinians. Then it's possible for Israel to avoid continual clashes and now thousands of deaths, huge expense and future hostilities.

Indeed.

I'm not sure if he's just unbelievably naive, or if he's a paid propagandist.

The particularly sickening nature of Hamas’s crimes – the beheadings, the burnt bodies, the murdered babies – were terrorism 101: they were designed to provoke. To horrify and enrage Israel so much that it would act rashly.

Peace is an existential threat to Hamas, something it can never accept, which means it must foment violence. And that means not just committing acts of violence itself, but provoking Israel to do the same, until peace is no longer an option for anyone.

The only lasting result of Israel retaliating against Hamas by levelling neighbourhoods and, potentially, launching a ground invasion of Gaza, will be the deaths of innocent people in their thousands and the complete radicalisation of a new generation of Palestinians.

And so the cycle of violence continues. And Hamas wins.

Bibi is playing into the hands of Hamas.

Hamas knows it can't win against Israel by itself so
it wants to destroy Israel by stirring up other Arab nations
so they will attack and destroy Israel.
Israel puts out pictures and video every day of their air attacks on Gaza -
leveling whole streets and suburbs which plays into the Hands of Hamas.
Hamas helps out by showing pictures of dead or distressed women and children in Gaza.
This is a propaganda war.

Hamas wins if the planned peace accord between Israel and the Saudi's doesn't go ahead.

War in Israel?

I bet Israel is dusting off their old Jericho nuke missiles.
It's not looking good.

So 'Palestinians' are farmed by Islamist fanatics,  like toxic mushrooms.

Israel-Hamas war live: Israel says it launched ‘limited raids’ into Gaza Strip

as it says Hamas is holding 222 hostages

19.10 AEDT

Israel says it launched 'limited raids' into the Gaza Strip overnight

Reuters reports that Israel’s military said on Monday that ground forces mounted limited raids into the Gaza Strip overnight to fight Palestinian gunmen, and that airstrikes were being focused on sites where Hamas was assembling to attack any wider Israeli invasion.

The IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari also said the military had carried out strikes to eliminate 20 Hezbollah cells in southern Lebanon since the start of the war.

Iran has warned Israel of things getting “out of control” if Tel Aviv doesn’t stop pounding Gaza ahead of an expected ground offensive. “I would like to warn the United States and the Israeli regime that if they do not immediately stop the crime against humanity and genocide in Gaza, anything is possible at any moment and the region will go out of control,” Iranian Foreign Minister said during a joint statement with his South African counterpart.

Gaza health ministry:

more than
5,000 killed by Israeli attacks, including over 2,000 children

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza has stated that at least 5,087 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes since 7 October. The figure, it claimed, includes 2,055 children being killed. Additionally it said 15,273 had been wounded.

The ministry put the death toll in the past 24 hours at 436 Palestinians killed, including 182 children. It said most of the fatalities had occurred in the southern Gaza Strip, where Israel’s military has ordered Palestinians to evacuate to. The claims have not been independently verified.

REPORT:

Over 12,000 US Troops Aboard 10 Warships Advance to Middle East

by Jim Hᴏft Oct. 22, 2023

Amid the escalating tensions in the Middle East, over 12,000 personnel from the US Navy and Marine Corps aboard ten warships have either reached or are en route to the Eastern Mediterranean, as reported by Nikkei Asia, citing data from the US Navy.

On Saturday, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III announced a series of actions aimed at bolstering the United States’ military presence in the Middle East.

The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group has been redirected to the Central Command area of responsibility. This move is in addition to the Navy’s largest and most advanced nuclear aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, which is currently operating in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group now joins the earlier dispatched USS Gerald R. Ford group, elevating the tally of American warships in the region to 10.

The US aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford has over 4,500 sailors on board, accompanied by five other ships carrying over 1,600 additional service members. The aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has 5,000 service members aboard, with three accompanying ships carrying another 1,000 service members.

My advice:
Buy a 20 Kg sack of rice and 20 tins of canned food -
fill up the car with petrol - buy a Bible -
read the book of Revelation.
Pray.
