Mr Albanese condemned a large gathering of Australians celebrating the Hamas attack on Israel earlier on Monday morning.
A crowd reportedly gathered outside Lakemba station in western Sydney on Sunday night, cheering on the surprise assault by the Palestinian Islamist militant group.
The death toll has climbed to more than 700 Israelis and more than 400 Palestinians.
Sheik Ibrahim Dadoun reportedly told the gathering it was a “day of victory”.
Mr Albanese condemned the land, sea, and air assault by Hamas and those who gathered in support of the violence.
“There’s no victory with the slaughter of innocent people,” Mr Albanese told Sunrise.
“The capturing of the people and taking them back to Gaza represents an extraordinary action by Hamas. And Israel, of course, has a right to defend itself, and it will.”
Albo spoke of an "unprovoked attack" (by Hamas), but is forgetting that Gaza is (correctly) aka "the world's largest open-air prison".
You shouldn't be surprised if the hotheads among the oppressed population rise up in revolt....
Only the Green voters would think Gaza is an open air prison.

Why did Israel leave Gaza?

The purpose of the plan was to improve Israel's security and international status in the absence of peace negotiations with the Palestinians.Obviously a flawed plan: in the absence of peace negotations re the occupied WB, extremists were free to gain power in Gaza via an election, because many Palestinians were disaffected by the PLO's (and Fatah's) lack of progress toward achieving the 2 state solution.
It's because they are Muslims, and Islam condemns them to die for the cause of putting the Jews in their place.
