The original Palestinian complaint against European Jews in Palestine during the 20s and 30s was ethnic, not religious.
Arabs acknowledged a distinction between Semitic Jews whose ancestors had never left Palestine (and did not have complaints against them) and those mass-migrating non-Semitic European Jews.
There was also a difference in cultural lifestyle.
European Jews were largely urbanised, while Arab Palestinians and Semitic Jews in Palestine were largely rural people.
The Palestinian cause began like so many, if not all, ethnic conflicts arise: after a perceived territorial usurpation of a migrating ethnic group displacing an existing ethnic group.
Like a Great Replacement, eh?
A conspiracy in the West, 'struth in Israel.
Not a Western conspiracy, but certainly after WW2, Palestine was a convenient dumping ground for Europe's Jews-
even better that they wanted to go there anyway. Anti-Jewish sentiment didn't die in Europe after the war.
So not a dumping ground then. No Jew was 'dumped' in Israel after WWII.
There are more Jews in the US than in Israel. More Jews speak English than Hebrew.
Given nearly all Jews in Israel speak English and Hebrew, then add in diaspora Jews...
A dumping ground in the sense that Jewish displaced persons after WW2 needed to be out of Europe. Stalin had plans for those in Eastern Europe after the war. Britain and the US did not want to absorb hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees - notwithstanding that Britain was in no state to take on a refugee wave at the time.
Maybe the British could have asked Australia to take in a tsunami of displaced Jews - i.e. a land with no people settling a people with no land... How would Australia of the 1940s have reacted to that, I wonder.
In the aftermath of World War II Australia abandoned its previous Anglo-centric immigration policy and permitted immigration of large numbers of people from continental Europe. Large numbers of European Jews, survivors of the Holocaust, arrived in the country from displaced persons camps.
Most Jews in Australia today are from that cohort and from Jews escaping the Soviet Union in the following decades.
Jews, being vigorous, unlike slovenly, lethargic insh'allah Muslims, add vim and vigour.
Muslims come to life and get energised only about killing Jews. Otherwise it is all about insh'allah, whatever will be, will be.
