BBC boofheads

To get the news, send in enemies of an army at war and hope it's all smiley.
'BBC journalists covering the attack on Israel were assaulted and held at gunpoint after they were stopped by police in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.
Muhannad Tutunji, Haitham Abudiab and their BBC Arabic team were driving to a hotel when their car was intercepted'.

'Shalom, guys'
'Salaam. Peace be upon the righteous ones'
'Hands up"

BBC refuses to label HAMAS terrorists. I agree. They are Islamic religious fanatics who see no difference in slaughtering adults or babies, as long as they are Jewish. Nor do the discern between soldiers and civilians. Its not about terror, its about murder in the name of Allah and his prophet.

BBC journalists held at gunpoint by Israeli police

BBC journalists covering the attack on Israel were assaulted and held at gunpoint
after they were stopped by police in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

Muhannad Tutunji, Haitham Abudiab and their BBC Arabic team were driving to a hotel when their car was intercepted.

They were dragged from the vehicle - marked "TV" in red tape - searched and pushed against a wall.

A BBC spokesperson said journalists "must be able to report on the conflict in Israel-Gaza freely".

Mr Tutunji and Mr Abudiab said they identified themselves as BBC journalists and showed police their press ID cards.

While attempting to film the incident, Mr Tutunji said his phone was thrown on the ground and
he was struck on the neck.
"One of our BBC News Arabic teams deployed in Tel Aviv, in a vehicle clearly marked as media, was stopped and assaulted last night by Israeli police. Journalists must be able to report on the conflict in Israel-Gaza freely," a BBC spokesperson said.

The BBC has contacted Israeli police for comment.

They were not there to report news. They were using their British journalist status to support anti-Israel propaganda with skewed observations, They didn't get what they deserved which is a one way ticket to the front line.

They could have had a chance if they used a Press car-label and had a police approval-letter with them. Red sticky tape is ....not

'Clearly marked TV', eh! Ah well, just wave them through then... It's not like Hamas fighters could come up with a plan as devious as marking the vehicle TV.

No link?

Did you make that story up to justify beating up of journalists in a democratic country?

They're in a war zone, dealing with police and military who are reeling from a massive internal security failure.

What did they expect?

'Muhannad Tutunji, Haitham Abudiab'.
They could have sent Elias Goldstein and Ben Pommyvich, then used Arabic language for the news vid back in Liverpool.

Really? - so how much of a beating did they deserve?

A hotel in Tel Aviv? - a war zone?   Undecided

All of Israel is a war zone - Hamas rockets have reached Tel Aviv.

How much of a beating did they get? Did they stop exactly when and where directed? Were they travelling a bit faster than they should have been? Did they attempt to look or act suspiciously to provoke the police?

'A Hamas rocket that hit a residential neighborhood in Tel Aviv left debris on the street and several vehicles and a multi-storey building..' with many aimed at the airport.

The Poms have little experience with Arabs and Jews and make woollen shirts on hand-looms in cottages.
