It has been suggested Israel are waiting for second US carrier group to arrive before going in which sounds reasonable. Over 20 Hezbollah have probably found out there is no Allah and no virgins.

I doubt Hamas will go into Sinai if they come out into open areas they can't last long they will hide in tunnels.

These tunnels are a big problem they can fire off a few RPG then run and hide. The RPG 29 worked against UK tanks in Iraq don't know how active armour on Israeli tanks will go. As we see in Ukraine tanks can be taken out easily although the Merkava doesn't have same design flaw as russian tanks that have turret blown off.

I think Israel only supplied about 45% of their electricity with around 20% water.

Gaza is dark at night only power comes from generators that will eventually run out of fuel.

If Hamas lose ability to power lights in tunnels then Israel will have huge advantage in pitch black if they wear thermal gear. If the IDF get inside they can short out electrics to turn lights off.

Don't see many suppressors on Hamas guns shooting in tunnels will be hard on ears.

Gasses like Propane will sink to the bottom of tunnels pump a few tanks in light a match and stand back.

Urban warfare is the worst they will have losses going in.

Israel has time on their side there is no urgency keep pounding from the air then go in.

I see Hamas today are offering to release some hostages if Israel stops air strikes which shows hamas are hurting.

the israelis probably have some robots to probe ahead.

i would still turn gaza into leningrad rather then stalingrad.

the idea of young israelis being caught in hit and run tactics and recognising that hamas know this place (it is their backyard), the israelis dont want to get caught with mounting losses and hand to hand combat.

if they can cut off all the logistics to hamas, then that will even the playing field

this will still take longer then the ukraine war.

thats a much better scenario then the IDF conducting street to street fighting

just place gaza under a seige and let the civilians move to a tent city in sinai.

very much what happened in syria

hungry people with no electricity will not follow the orders of hamas and remain there with no food, they will riot and bugger off.

a massive win for the israelis and makes hamas the bad guys if they dont let the unfed out

Night vision amplifies whatever light there is i doubt it works in tunnels without IR spotlights. Thermal sights are the choice.

They have ballistic shields made from AR500 steel so point man has some protection wouldn't like to see how that goes with RPGs with shock waves.

You also have to factor in muslims will blow themselves up to take someone out.

Whatever food aid delivered get distributed by hamas so they look after their fighters over everyone else so will take a while to starve them out.

This will take a while there is no hurry to go in. Hamas spokesman said 20 hostages have been killed in airstrikes so bombs are hitting tunnels.
