Dude! The Romans arrived in 'Briton' well after the Angles (Anglos or Angels), the Saxons (Rangas) and the Jutes 'peacefully' entered there as out of 6,000 known grave sites from that period of 'migration' - not one was found to have died from 'violence' (warfare). The original Britons were basically outbred and out-socialised, to just remain in the Wales region of today and the far peninsula of the south-west of England of today.
The original 'indigenous' people of those Islands were basically violently wiped out by the 'invading' Britons from the mainland - so much so, that their DNA markings in today's population can be traced back to only a small handful of women kept as concubines (no doubt), as all the males were wiped out purposely. There was probably only a population of around 10,000 indigenous - which was pretty big for those times and most of the island's areas were 'not' inhabited. It's just that the Britons were more populous, more armed (from the same period as the first recorded battles in Europe).
The Neanderthal DNA faired better surviving into today's population, than that of the indigenous peoples before the Britons 'invaded'.
