Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Knowing him, he probably couldn't wait to get out of here.

Mr Hayden abandoned his staunch atheism in his later years, and in his early 80s a stroke further fuelled his Christianity.  Four years later, he stunned many by being baptised as a Catholic.

I’ve just watched the MotoGP and now seeing on the news about Bill Hayden passing… I was stunned to see he was 90! Wow …..it’s like yesterday he was young as I remembered him as very prolific in politics … this means I’m getting older too!
I was at a funeral just yesterday… the guy was 53. Embarrassed

I see now why Bill had lost faith earlier in life… makes sense. He had a violent father that would beat him often  Cry
But pleased he found some solace in later life being baptised. I wouldn’t mind reading a biography/autobiography about his life.

Sounds like he feared death and ran desperately for God.
Sounds like he feared hell, his political past, weighing heavy like a guilty chain of corruption and wrong doings in his past.

But who's to say about such people? When all we see is what is presented to us by the media and the camera's that like it when they smile for them as if all is well and good.
It's all one big media show.
...well, it was until Albanese proved the Media's been lying all along.

I have nothing against Bill Hayden but I just don't like the word HAYDEN. Not as bad as LLOYD but still triggers me.
