Israeli strike kills five journalists in Gaza, hospital says

Dec 26, 2024  #Israel #Gaza

An Israeli airstrike outside Al-Awda Hospital in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp killed five Palestinian journalists overnight, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The journalists, working for Quds News Network, were reportedly targeted while in a car. The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted Islamic Jihad fighters, a group allied with Hamas.

The Committee to Protect Journalists states over 130 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the war began, the Associated Press has reported.

I still don't understand why Hamas don't release the hostages and lay down their weapons.

Because they are evil selfish savages of blind violence.
Palestine is like a suicide terrorist that will never surrender and will continue to attack Israel, kill Jews, because Palestine is the embodiment of pure racism gone insane.

A senior United Nations official condemned a deadly Israeli strike on a multistory building in northern Gaza on Tuesday, as he reiterated calls for a ceasefire and hostage deal in the Palestinian enclave.

Cain Calls For Ceasefire After Killing Abel

"It's time to put a stop to the senseless violence," said Cain as he checked Abel's pulse to make sure he was dead. "Everyone can lay down their weapons now!"

According to sources, Cain had lured Abel out into a field and then initiated a surprise attack on the unarmed man. Cain then declared a ceasefire after mistakenly believing Abel to be dead. However, upon seeing Abel's legs still moving, Cain called off the ceasefire to bludgeon Abel a few more times, then announced the ceasefire was back on.

When the Lord came to question Cain about Abel's murder, Cain explained that he was simply decolonizing his family's land. "What did you think decolonizing meant?" said Cain, waving to his brother's body. "This was my land before Abel showed up! For years now, I have been kept in this open-air prison, tilling the land while my brother got to travel around with the flocks. I have done nothing but throw off the shackles of the oppressor!"

At publishing time, the Lord had gently informed Cain that neo-Marxist propaganda wouldn't work on anyone for thousands of years, so he better start running.

Nice to see the UN at least getting its tongue around the vernacular - Gaza - not Palestine .... 'Palestinian enclave' - not Palestine.

**breathes a sigh of relief**

It has been 467 days since Israel began its war against Palestinians in Gaza. That’s more than 15 months of daily bombardments, death, injuries, displacement and starvation.

The Israeli onslaught began on October 7, 2023, after attacks on southern Israel led by the Palestinian group Hamas.

46,707 Palestinians killed

In the past 15 months, at least 46,707 people in Gaza have been killed, which includes about 18,000 children. The death toll means that one out of every 50 people has been killed in Gaza. Many analysts and rights groups believe the real number killed is far higher.

Despite global condemnations and pleas from international organisations and rights groups, Israel has continued a collective punishment campaign on the besieged enclave, where half of the population is under the age of 18. In doing so, Israel has wiped out multiple generations of families from the civil registry.

More than 100,000 people injured

At least 110,265 people have been injured in Gaza as a result of the war. That’s one in 20 people.

According to the World Health Organization, nearly a quarter of the injured, an estimated 22,500 people, have life-altering injuries that require but are not receiving rehabilitation. Severe limb injuries are the main type of injury needing rehabilitation.

According to UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, every day 10 children lose one or both legs with operations and amputations conducted with little or no anaesthesia due to Israel’s blockade.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that by the end of 2024 there had been at least 4,500 amputations.

In addition to the confirmed casualties, thousands of people are feared buried under the rubble. With few tools to remove the rubble and rescue those trapped beneath concrete, volunteers and Palestinian Civil Defence workers rely on their bare hands. There is no way to know how many people have perished under the rubble.

An estimated 85,000 tonnes of explosives have been dropped on Gaza,

according to the Environmental Quality Authority of Palestine. Experts predicted it could take more than a decade to clear the debris left by the bombing, which totals more than 42 million tonnes, according to the UN Development Programme. On top of the work of clearing the rubble is the risk of dealing with unexploded bombs.

Is that the same Al Jazeera that is headquartered in Qatar, where... er.... Hamas is headquartered?

It's been 467 days since Gaza started it's ill-considered war against Israel with the intention of genociding all Jews... could be slightly out on the number of days - just setting that Al Jazeera story right...

Of course, just like Sad Sam firing missiles at Israel - Hamas thought they could draw all the Arab countries into an invasion of Israel - they didn't think they'd be left out sitting on a sharp stick, and when Hezbollah decided to join the party -they were promptly smashed back fifty miles... Yemen copped a hiding... and Persian Iran - the evil puppet master - copped its hiding in turn... and backed off.... and now Hamas is in a small enclave cut off from supplies and running out of guns, ammo and people to have killed ...

So Hamas must accept full responsibility for what has happened - nobody else - and surrender forthwith to save more human cost.
