“We are seeing the makings of a genocide unfold in front of our eyes,” Al Mezan Centre director Issam Younis said of the events in Gaza.

“If Australia is selling Israel the means to commit that genocide, it would not only be an unspeakable horror committed against the Palestinian people, it would breach Australia’s obligations under international law and its own rules around arms exports.”

He makes the claim about the Jewish right to the land of Israel after 2 minutes referring to the modern-day Jewish right to Israel using the Jewish bible (Old Testament) as 'proof' of ownership. He's a rabbi, of course he believes the Tanakh is the word of Yahweh.

Jews of today are descended from Turkic peoples (Ashkenazi) and Sephardic (Iberian-descent peoples) and other minorities such as Ethiopian Jews. None of them is Semitic, as the Jews of the Old and New Testaments in the region were.

A bit like African Catholics claiming citizenship of the Vatican.
