Here's the funny thing. That region was very sparsely populated before the creation of Israel. The Arab population inside Israel has grown at a steady rate, the Palestinian population has grown at an incredible rate.

Doesn't it almost seem to yo that a lot of the Palestinians may have come from elsewhere?

The Arabs were subjects of the Ottoman Turks prior to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire - Arabs, as ethnic Semites together, had aspirations of a single, unified Arab homeland, not multiple ones as carved out of the area by Britain and France.

And not one envisaged to be shared by a Euro-centric people who claimed to also be Semites.
