You're confusing political expediency necessary for gaining acceptance, status among and funding from the world's powerful democracies with Israeli sentiment regarding Arabs.

Also the nature of those Jews who managed to survive the Holocaust and move to Israel in the late 40s onwards - only the toughest-minded of the toughest-minded with an exponential instinct for survival - Darwinian.
