During the past few weeks I have heard no Jew wish violence upon Gazans; I’ve witnessed many American ( and Australian, British)  so-called progressives who wish violence upon Jews. In response to raped teenagers and headless babies, a common leftist online refrain has been: “What did you think decolonisation looked like?”

A crisis of courage. ... the courage to call bullshit on a wide range of things we know not to be true but, for whatever reasons, have been tolerated. Things like the bitter, deceptive lies that underpin identity politics in all its forms. That all we have is identity, that the colour of our skin or our sexuality matters more than a person’s character. That we have no agency. That resilience doesn’t matter. A culture that celebrates, honours and even venerates victimhood in all its forms.

Has our tolerance of such self-indulgent folly, over time, at least in part created a culture of moral weakness? Has it led us down a path towards this moment we seem horribly unprepared to face?

the typical conservative might be a small business person, sole trader, farmer.
such people are presented with a never ending series of problems to solve .
solving them requires emotional maturity

the typical leftie might have a job in the public service, as a union member as a worker in the compassion industries like a teacher ot a social worker

such people have no autonomy
they have no personal responsibility
they have taken the easy route of being "told what to do by an authority figure" and so they never need to develop character

they havent done the brutal training and when they contemplate an issue they do it from the emotional instability of a child not the maturity of an adult


we all know this.
