Sub-Forum Moderators cannot see PMs nor can they see IPs or do anything other than move/delete/hide/lock and sticky topics and make rules in their own little domain.

They can't even ban anyone. All they can do is make their own little lists of people they dislike and want to ban. If someone they have on their ban list dares to post in their little fiefdom all they can do is dob them in to FD, Set or Vic and demand they be banned.

There is a nasty implication there that others, not MRB Mods, CAN see PMs and that requires an explanation.

Admin either here or at PA could only see PMs if
they changed the password of a member and then used that password
to enter their account.
The member would know as they would no longer be able to log in
and what the mod would have done would be recorded in the moderator logs
as proof of their malfeasance.

yes - we could change a password for someone's account.
Then when they used that they were asked to change it to a password
that only they knew.

If a Gmod changed someone's password that person would know
as they would no longer be able to get into their account.
The Gmod would have to tell them the new password.

It's all recorded in the mod records so any skullduggery would be known about.
