Just one point - 'inflation' as currently derived is NOT 'falling' and has not fallen  - the housing market etc are about to take another leap due to the same old things, and wage rises will be required by all not just the pet shop.  Now two points - just like repayments on your mortgage during the Great Hike under Keating, Bringer Of Death ... the actual costs will not go down as much as they went up when the 'rate' declines - even if it does in Real Terms... which it isn't...

There has been no Conquest Of Inflation... only a few shuffled deck chairs again.

The good thing is that Woolies have Tim Tams down to $3 a packet... they cheat though - the chewy caramel ones are simultaneously listed as $3 and then "2 for $9"  ....   Shocked

All things will surge - the Eld Gel did a stress test yesterday - $450 .... for no real value since they already know her cardio condition.  Like her bro-in-law - diagnosed with cardio artery issues already - YTF send him for a stress test as well - just do the op required and get it over?  Other than the income of course.

REAL Inflation is not low - it is higher than its been in my memory given the never-endng rises in price of everything..... and everyone knows that the poor old dollar is flat out and out of breath chasing price rises in everything from plumbers to head specialists and even lawn mower blokes to fortnightly food bills ...  it's nothing to see a young mother or father loading $400 worth of groceries through the checkouts while the kids harass them for chocies ... and you'd better eat that 'fresh food' fast ....

It's like discussing Comparative Poverty with dividie and the like ... is an ocean front Abo with a boat and living in a free house and copping dole money and royalty money as 'impoverished' as his equal trying to make ends meet on the mean streets of a big city?  REALLY?  Is the ocean fronter 'struggling out there' as the fat cats in Brian's ABC nonsense video said?  Did the ocean fronter and equivalent consider themselves 'in poverty and struggling' until they saw the White Man's Way and wanted it all for free?  Did those pre-1788 consider themselves 'strugglers' who were 'impoverished'?  FFS!!!

Anyway - 1n 1985 you could buy Albo's house in Marrickville for $45-50k ... income was about $20k p.a. roughly... cost of house a little more than two year's income...... now the same house will cost you ten times average weekly earnings - a figure that very few even get close to in reality (unless they are grifters).

Same with all other 'costs of living' ... so - could someone tell me in simple English how 'inflation' is low when the prices continue to rise like a Space-X shot and most people continue to fall behind?   Huh

Old school friend has health issues and had his licence lifted - went for a test and was failed.  To appeal - given that he was not given any automatic right to even 're-train' with a professional and then try again - will cost him $2000 upfront to a lawyer to negotiate with the roads and licencing royalty - and if it goes to court $20,000.  WTF??

The escalation of costs alongside the costs of 'privatisation'.

Caveat utentis!  Let the user beware!!
