Easy.

Move last two to form a V
seven minus two equals five.

I only moved two matches.

I took one of the single matches from VII and put it (on an angle) with the two single matches after the minus sign.

I then moved one of those single matches next to the one I put on an angle and put that at an angle too.

That's two matches moved, not three.

Yep, your way works too.

So, we have two ways of doing it.

Gordon's is the right and straight forward way.
Peccary's is bent and the Gay way.

ADD 3 matchsticks to make the equation true.

The following rules apply:
- No number is greater than 9
- Negative numbers are not allowed
- You may not change the equal (=) sign

Another easy one.

Add 1 stick to the minus sign to make it a plus sign.

Then add 2 sticks to the 7 to make it a 3.

0 + 3 = 3

I got the move the II to V in about 10secs, so I thought, is there another way? How about moving the two matches that make the = sign into a > sign. Work for you?
