This is the hardest part of maths (or science/engineering) - trying to model a real problem as a mathematical one. At school we are taught to solve equations, but not to create them. We are taught to solve an equation, then spoon fed a problem to match it.

Or, you could just visualise it. Or draw it out.

Did you get it right?

I read the answer here before even thinking about it.

forgiven for not following the instructions in the first post.

Only 3 students got it right out of perhaps 1 million who took the test -
they informed the University that the exam answers were all wrong.
I call bullshit on your claim.

It was a locus problem as I saw immediately. The radius was obvious.

Agree, high school dropout?

You're a bullshit artist Monk -
human intuition said the answer was 3 -
even the University professors were fooled.

I never thought the answer was three. I saw it was a locus problem and worked out the locus. You see, I am not stupid unlike you, HS dropout.

Monk is brighter than a team of university professors -

only 3 people in 1 million got it right.   Roll Eyes

Started a poll:

Does anyone believe that Monk knew the correct answer?

Everyone knows Monk is a habitual liar who blathers without a care in the hope someone will give him the attention he craves.
Monk hounds Bobby the most, because he knows Bobby will always 'forgive him'. He calls Bobby his favourite 'sucka'.
