And I’ve just discovered Japan has the oldest hotel in the world, (Guinness book of records)
It’s over 1,300 years old.
Such a peaceful environment, I will have it in my bucket list to stay there, and putting this up for some that mentioned going to Japan this year.

Is fascinating- I'd be almost afraid to stay there- too old!

But anyway , my son has changed his mind and doesn't plan on going to Japan this year- I'm thinking I might go by myself but I'm not sure at this stage.

I will let you know.

Hi Agnes, long time no see. That’s a shame if you don’t get to Japan with family member. Maybe you could ask a dear friend to accompany you to Japan if you don’t wish to go alone.
As for that oldest hotel… I bet it’s been refurbished and renewed where required.
Depending where it is and pricing… I would go there.
I want to boast about things like….
I’ve been to the oldest hotel in the world.
I’ve been to a Michelin star restaurant in Paris. (looking it up currently… prices are that I might just have snails in garlic sauce and a coffee only)

My boy is very cranky with me so I doubt I will go with him at this stage- but who knows there are a few months to go yet-

If you get an opportunity to go … and you don’t, you could regret it.
Fleeting grumpy emotions with kids are just that… fleeting…
In fact they get worse as they get older, almost as grumpy as us old parent folk!  Grin
Anyway, don’t let it stop a wonderful trip and adventure.

I’m about to go soon, this last week had been stressful with more paperwork, and taking out stuff to make suitcases lighter. Last thing I want to do is have heavy luggage.
Mine is 15.5 kgs (yay) and hubby’s is 17.5 kgs. So we have plenty space for stuff we might buy.

First stop is Dubai, and it was 43 degrees there today!! Oh gosh!  Shocked
