OK - good luck - take it easy -

Tasmania is a beautiful island with great winding roads and corners.

Maybe you could even visit Monk for some home brew?   Smiley

This model GPZ 1100 was the first production bike to do 10 second quarter mile.

USA road test said it could get a speeding ticket on national highway (55 Mph limit) in 1st gear.

Fuel injected top speed around 260 kph, 2.5 seconds 0-100 kph

It was good in it's day modern bikes are better everywhere a 600cc will leave it for dead around Eastern Creek and top out around 300kph.

Fuel injection made it responsive top gear roll on 60-80 kph 1.8 seconds good bottom and mid range power about 10500 redline

I saw race time comparison between Rossi on 500cc Gp Vs latest Moto gp at Misano moto gp bike was 2 min 40 seconds quicker so modern bike would be a lap and a half in front full race distance

MotoGP bikes are much lighter than road bikes sold to the public -
they are 1000cc  V4s producing 255hp and only weight 157 kg.

Why Yamaha changes to V4 engine! - MotoGP EXPLAINED

Sep 27, 2024

Yamaha is the last manufacturer to use inline 4 cylinder engines in MotoGP.
Why are they now changing to V4 engines as well?
Why are V4 engines so popular for bike racing?

Not much difference for power.

V4 is narrower lower centre of gravity over inline 4 better packaging

Better aero with V4 smaller radiator means smaller hole in fairing with less airflow required
When you double the speed aero drag isn't double it's 4X higher.

The Yammie only loses out end of straight with shows inferior aero it matches Ducati eveywhere else.
Aero drag limits top speed with every vehicle reduce this and you go faster.
Aero drag is 4X higher at 350 kph than 175 kph

Honda built a VFR 750 V4 roadbike in the 1980s then went back to inline 4 with CBR 750 late 80s

I am aware of that bobby

The 500 gp bikes were around the same weight as RGV 250 Suzuki road bikes

V4 will take over within 5 years.
It's just better.

You're a good boy now and so am I.
I think I'd lose my license for speeding or
I'd be dead within a week if I road a superbike now.    Embarrassed
