I did. But then that was over 40 years ago. Haven't lost a point since. I don't know if I could trust myself. Cry

One of my friends had this GSX 1100 it was a good bike handled better than my GPZ

He died when a school bus merged him into a median strip he went under back wheels of bus.

1984, the year I got married and haven't ridden on road since. I have considered the Harley 883, my middle son has one, can't go too crazy on that.

Thinking about getting this bike
https://www.kawasaki.com.au/en-au/motorcycle/ninja/supersport/ninja-zx-4r/2024-n...

Has 75hp so fast enough without being absurdly fast like a modern 1000+cc.

Inline 4 fuel injected sounds excellent should have reasonable economy.

Probably put a bigger rear sprocket few more teeth to help it get off the line a bit better will sacrifice some top speed.

I think you'll find they are too revvy.

I would prefer something with power down at low revs.
The easiest bike to ride that I ever rode was a Honda FT500 single banger.
It had power down at 1500rpm.

Yep - there is something really nice about a single cylinder bike.

If you want to give your lady a thrill a V twin Harley going thump thmp thump through the seat tends to get them leaving a wet spot on the seat.  Wink

She will hold on tight with this one.

Tram tracks made a comeback in Sydney i don't go into city where they are.

Eastern Creek is the closest race track Oran park was my favourite it was sold for housing development.
I will take it to the track

I want something smooth singles are rough.

Single and twins sound horrible nothing sounds better than inline 4 with 4 into 1

The reason I said it was the guy who owned the GSX told us his lady made him ride back and forth over the rail tracks where there are many on a crossing between Perth and Midland. Grin

I did a wheelie the length of the road into Cairns international airport when they were building it on a XL500

Had a YZ490 i beat the Cairns Yamaha shop Yz490 in MX.
2 strokes are jetted rich from factory dropped mainjet 3 sizes livened it up it left theirs for dead. They asked me what did i do wasn't going to tell them.
Indoor MX shows how lean they run they don't blow any smoke unless off throttle idling.
Can't lean out idle with 2 strokes otherwise it will seize when coasting.

Built a few winning 2 stroke kart engines that rev to 20,000 rpm won a championship in Karting.

100 CC Rotary valve 20K Rpm direct drive no clutch have to push start around 32hp.
2 stroke nirvana training ground for f1 champions

This may sound a bit ghey, my favourite bike was my RD350 water cooled. Ported polished, reed valve modified, etc. Light, extremely quick, a power band that was a joy to get to and would stand on it's back wheel with a couple of twists of the throttle and could stay there. It got the death shakes at 100 mph but it was a town bike anyway. Not a cruiser at all but so much fun and it would lay flat around corners with nothing hitting the ground. Probably not what I would want today but a great town bike. It was just a fun ride.
