So, this review that ex pollie Craig Emerson is leading is not really a junket is it.      Business class fares to all states and territories to conduct Investigations, 5 star accommodation, meal allowances, incidentals, luxury car hire - the list goes on!   Whatever meagre savings the supermarkets may pass on to us - the great unwashed - have been eaten up well in advance by the multi hundred thousand travel bill that the “investigation team” will run up.   What numpty thought that one up?

So lets see. We want these huge sheds which sell the best produce from all over Australia AND the world, which require a mind boggling amount of infrastructure and logistics to have just about every imaginable thing we need, and to never run out and to be available between 7am and 10pm and we want them to be 10mins drive from our house.... and now we want them to do it on a paper thin profit margin. Cool.

Gordy they make massive profits and they rip off farmers for their produce. e.g
lambs were selling for $1 each not long ago -
the farmers couldn't give them away in some cases
yet the prices of meat were very high.
It's extortion of almost a monopoly -
there are are only 2 large supermarket chains:
Coles and Woolies.

I didn't.

I clearly said that they were sold to restaurants.

Here's a way to get free groceries.

WOW frequently has price fluctuations of 2%, and will often do that a few times in one week. Keep an eye on the charts and when you think the timing is right, chuck a lazy 50K on it, when it goes up 2%, sell. There's your groceries paid for a month.

No - the supermarkets can just give us reasonable prices where they still make a good profit
and everyone would be happy.
This is all about monopolies and extreme human greed.

WOW has a hold to buy recommendation. If you can do some simple chart analysis you will be able to make a quick profit, at worst you can hold the share and get the annual dividend.
And if you really know what you're doing, and you can work some options around the share and make some money that way. Hardly gambling.
