I've had tinnitus for more than thirty years, but it
doesn't worry me in the least. It's a high frequency,
continuous tone, very occasionally interspersed with
a short-lived, deeper mid-tone. The result of too much
listening to heavy metal with high-quality headphones
turned up to level 11 LOL.
So... firstly I consider CBT as "real science" bullshit
with no viable supporting evidence, and no practical
relieving outcomes—other than fooling oneself for a
few days that it's working (possibly encouraged by the
fact that one has paid a psychologist $160 per session
over a 6- to 8-week period?) After all, yez gets what
ya pays for doncha? Ha!
At any rate, this research sample was ludicrously
tiny (14 self-selected subjects), with zero statistical
significance, plus... there was
no control group FFS.
Ignore it.
