You don't seem to understand.

Nikki isn't in the race.

Trump will be the GOP candidate.

If they went with Haley, Trump would destroy her, her family, and everyone in the Republican party.

And let's just say, for the sake of the argument, that Nikki did end up as the GOP candidate - how do you think Trump would react?

Would he a) say "Oh well, the better person won - I'll support Nikki 100% in the hope that I see her in the White House rather than me".

Or, would he b) do everything in his power to make sure Haley loses the general election?

If you didn't choose option b), you've learnt absolutely nothing about Trump in the last 8 years.
