You are right for once Smith. American Science Fiction has indeed been a dreaming for that nation, to which they follow.
Isaac Asimov's Foundation series (based on the Fall of Rome) is the narrative of the Fall of the USA (that adheres to the archaic western of Rome and Athens).

You will find that many Americans Fantasy writers have also done the same with many novels and series having predicted the likes of Trump. Roger Zelazny's Amber series (Trump Cards) from the 70's to Julian May's The Non-born King.

Let's not comment on the fear of the rise of the Biologically advanced Australian future in competition with America like Pacific Rim and Independence Day 2  Wink

No matter how far out in space. Every Science Fiction and or Fantasy is 100% influenced by something here on earth entirely.

Going by the mass production of scientific papers being pumped out these days. Science itself has become a Fiction.

im about to read prime deceptions by valerie valdes. i chose this book because it was the only science fiction book i could find in my local library. maybe it will surprise me!

The plot wasn't bad at all but should have been labelled a teenagers book.

The latest Sci Fi genre is by Scientists saying there is water on every planet and they're all Earth-like.
Talk about scabbing for funding.

Majority of people have no idea what science is about so fiction or rather magic is good enough for them.

fantasy is magic based and scifi is science based - they are completely different.

fantasy: witches, zombies, vampires, werewolves, magic

Every SciFi & Fantasy alien or being are an insinuation of people and animals here on Earth. Our imaginations are still bound to this world. Even the Borg are based on a type of people here.
SciFi is mostly a future projection, Fantasy is a past projection.
But Fantasy writers in America have been known to predict the future (like a guy like Trump) by their own insinuation and illusion.
...where there's a little Saxon ranga man. There's usually a tall Anglo blondie man just around the corner. Wink

It is written.✍️
