I think one of the issues with immigrants is that it's all too easy for
people of the same nationality and/or religion to form heavily populated
enclaves in capital cities.  This can/does lead to "no go" zones for the
rest of the population, and police and welfare services.

In some of Melbourne's Western suburbs, VicPol have declared them
a "red zone" which means that all patrol cars must have two officers
in them when attending callouts.

The other issue with these enclaves is one of increased crime rates,
particularly with drugs, street assaults, property thefts, and home invasions.

In Melbourne we have Vietnamese in Springvale and Noble Park, Sudanese
in Dandenong and Doveton, Lebanese in Broadmeadows and Altona North,
Jews in Elsternwick and St Kilda, and Pakistanis in Tarneit and Dallas, for example.

And worse, 4.2% of people in Greater Melbourne are Muslim—many  are
Bosnian and Turkish. They live primarily in the northern suburbs surrounding
Broadmeadows, (mostly Turkish), Coburg, Brunswick, Epping (mostly Lebanese)
and Truganina and Tarneit (mostly Indian). They've also formed enclaves in
outer south-eastern suburbs such as Dandenong and Hallam (mostly Afghan a
nd Pakistani).

It's not surprising that these suburbs also have the highest crime rates across
Melbourne's suburbs.

—As someone born and who grew up in Melbourne, there is absolutely no way that I
would ever consider living in any of those suburbs now.

Far from the claimed zero refugees made by Acqua.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

so 340 from somalia syria and afghanistan and 303,106 from soutj east asia

i rest my case.

as to japan taking 400. for a country where tokyo has a population greater then the whole of australia , a little country town in oz called towoomba has taken 2000 or 5 x their entire nation.

we need to rebalance in favour of people from china , malaysia, thailand

do you want to tell us about chinese kids using machetes to steal cars?

of course not

they are all in the library stuying to be doctors  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Good on them.  It means of course that you are mistaken in your approach. There is no zero refugees accepted by South Korea, China and Japan as you attempt to claim, Acqua.  Are you man enough to admit your error or will you continue your bluster?

Pity the Sudanese are still tribal in their approach to things.  Doesn't mean they cannot learn, just that it is a slower process.  They have been traumatised by what the Sudanese militia and Government have wrought.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

so brain

toowoomba , pop 70,000 took more sudan ese then asia   pop 4 billion

you really are quite the PR expert  Grin Grin Grin Grin

So, you'll continue on with your bluster will you, Acqua?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

still  want to lie that china is taking in sudanese refugees brian?

and lets not forget china has a MASSIVE presence in sudan

As hundreds of Chinese evacuees boarded the Chinese destroyer Nanning at Port Sudan this week, many waved red five-star flags, and some cried with relief upon their escape from the warring factions that have plunged Sudan into chaos.

“Compatriots, no matter where you are, the great motherland will always be your strongest backup!” a naval officer told the 678 passengers, including 10 foreigners. “Please rest assured – we’ve arrived, everyone is safe!” he said through a loudspeaker, inciting cheers from the crowd.

“I was very worried that we wouldn’t be able to get out,” said one Chinese woman, choking back tears, in a state-television interview. “I am so proud to be Chinese.”

Dandenong and Hallam are bad -

I would never go there at night.

No - just stay away from those areas.

In any case -
when they do home invasions and carjackings they go to more wealthy suburbs.

These days you need your car in a locked up garage and Crimsafe security doors.

Oh, dearie, dearie, me, Acqua.  Bluster is all  you've got, you're just full of it.  You claimed ROK, PRC and Japan accepted, "zero refugees".  What a shame I prove you wrong, hey?  Now, a man would admit their error but a non-man like you won't and doesn't.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
