An elderly Queensland man had a knife held to his throat by African home invaders who burst into his house, threatened to kill him and demanded money and valuables.

Richard McCooey was working from home in Daisy Hill, Logan, on Monday afternoon when a stolen car pulled up outside and two masked men armed with hunting knives came through the unlocked front door.

“I went to the top of the stairs and was confronted by a masked man holding a very large knife,” Mr McCooey told Nine News.

“The knife was to my chest facing up to my neck and [he] said, ‘You’re going to die’.”

“I then said, ‘What do you want, I’ll give you whatever you want’, and gave him my wallet with all the contents.”

The shocking home invasion was caught on CCTV, and Mr McCooey’s horrified wife can be heard in the footage begging the men not to hurt them.

After rifling through the couple’s possessions looking for jewellery, the intruders fled with wallets, phones and cash and got into a waiting Hyundai Sante Fe which was found dumped the next day.

Police arrived five minutes later, and detectives are still investigating.

The violent home invasion is just the latest shocking incident
involving African criminals in recent weeks.

Earlier this month grandmother Vyleen White, 70, was allegedly murdered by a Sudanese refugee trying to steal her car in nearby Ipswich, a woman was allegedly assaulted and tortured by an African gang in the same region days later, and a man was slashed with a machete in Melbourne last week.

this guy had it coming

what had he done to make these africans feel welcome

did he invite them in for a zebra steak or offer them a refreshing beverage on a hot day.

i hope if he meets them in court, he will apologise for his disgusting racism.

who are the real victims here?

they certainly include the boys themselves and their mums and dads who have had to put up with this sort of systemic racism

yeah it was a bit harsh but is it a chargeable offense? he didnt attack anyone

Well, if Vyleen White wasn't a progressive multiculturalist, her daughter certainly is, and I reckon she sees the death of her mother as an ultimate sacrifice that whities had to make for the sake of black African immigration (judging by her sucking up to black Africans). She is blaming everyone else for her mother's stabbing death by saying we need to do more to stop the crime. She blames the "Australian" community and the government

I'd say she did, but didn't have the multicultural language skills to pacify the 16yr old and his mates when she reached the car to lock it

It takes nerve, wit, skill and knowledge to handle situations such as what she was approaching ... she probably said something like "You can't have the keys now because I've got to get my shopping done and get back home to cook dinner, I've just come back to lock my car"

The cops tell us to just hand over the keys and call triple "0" ... Perhaps that's what she should have done, since her 6yr old granddaughter was with her and danger was present

Personally, I would have surveilled the car park, as I always do, while walking along. I mainly watch for drivers who are about to take off from their parking spot and who may not be aware of pedestrians close to them. Also surveil for people sitting in cars and try to work out their intentions, most are just waiting for a spouse to return, but if I saw black Africans, I would be highly suspicious of their intentions, and divert away to reassess the situation
