$50,000 a year is $961 per week. In a 40 hour week, that is $24/hr. Not bad. I get that amount with my work. That is if they do 52 hours a week of the year. Plus, I would assume that there would be bed, breakfast and other amenities available that they don't have to pay for that they would on other jobs.

"On the line" ADF personnel get paid more for danger money than what they get in training. I have heard of East Timor veterans putting their payments towards a new home, given that they got everything else paid for during their service.

Nope. It's NOT "gross salary". It's obvious you don't really know what
you're talking about. It's what's known as a "continuation bonus".

Group 10 WOs can make more than $150K per year = $75 per hour.

ADF members get paid according to rank and experience. ADF members do not get "everything else paid for during their service," they are required to pay for their food and lodging as part of their service. A purely nominal fee but still a fee. They are paid on the basis that they are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Time to acquaint yourself with ADF pay rates and conditions, UnSub. Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes
