Rapist Loses Again

Court rules Trump does not have immunity from 2020 election subversion prosecution

Criminal defendant/rapist Donald Trump is not immune from prosecution for alleged crimes he committed during his presidency to reverse the 2020 election results, a federal appeals court said Tuesday.

The ruling is a major blow to Trump’s key defense thus far in the federal election subversion case brought against him by special counsel Jack Smith. Trump faces four counts from the case, including conspiring to defraud the United States and to obstruct an official proceeding.

Trump’s behavior after the 2020 election could be criminal: The judges made it clear that Trump's actions could be prosecuted in a court of law.

"Vital public interest" of letting trial proceed weighed heavily on the court: The judges cited the public interest in accountability for potential crimes committed by a former president, and how that overcame Trump’s argument that immunity was necessary to protect the institution of the presidency. They flatly rejected Trump’s claim that his criminal indictment would have a “chilling effect” on future administrations.

and what? You think the supreme court is going to rule that trump is exempt from following the laws of the USA? That their laws don't apply to him?

No other court in the land has supported any of Trumps bullshit Bobby....The argument that the President of the United States is not subject to the laws of the land and can commit crimes without being held accountable is doomed to fail....This stunt is all about delaying the trial until after the 2024 election where Trump is hoping he can give himself a pardon!!!

The federal prosecution of a former President fits the case
“[w]hen judicial action is needed to serve broad public
interests” in order to “vindicate the public interest in an
ongoing criminal prosecution.” Fitzgerald, 457 U.S. at 754.
The risks of chilling Presidential action or permitting meritless,
harassing prosecutions are unlikely, unsupported by history
and “too remote and shadowy to shape the course of justice.”
See Clark, 289 U.S. at 16.

We therefore conclude that
functional policy considerations rooted in the structure of our
government do not immunize former Presidents from federal criminal prosecution.

My guess is the Supreme Court will not hear the case and punt it back to Judge Chutkan who will then preside over Trumps criminal trial....Trump will try to delay as long as possible in the hope he can swindle the next election and pardon his own fat arse!!!

Exactly....Expect some memes and abuse from the MAGA mob who will no doubt incite the fury of the scripture to pronounce Trump the Messiah....It's all they have left to argue???

The Supreme Court will decide not you.

Harry Truman was never charged with dropping atomic bombs on women and children
at Hiroshima and Nagasaki  - over 200,000 dead - vaporized -
no military target - clearly a war crime.
Presidents have immunity from their crimes.

So, if President Biden wants to have the orange rapist kidnapped & then illegally detained for the rest of his life in Guantanamo, he can do that and suffer no consequences?

If President Biden hires a hit man to whack Tucker Carlson, the POTUS will be immune from any prosecution?

Yet they are so good at loosing every time their bullshit is tested in a court of law....The twice impeached ex President will go down in history as the most corrupt President to ever hold the office....When will people (MAGA) wake up to this flake???

Yep - the president was going to kill Julian Assange at one point.

Presidents are above the law - they can even murder people.
