I'm a supporter of refugees but not of mass immigration.... Stop The Planes and give fair dealing to asylum claimants.... if found to be valid let them stay - if not pack their bags for them...

Someone complained yesterday about people coming here for a BETTER education in their chosen profession - then staying instead of 'going home' to take the benefits to their own people. You could say that my GP could be one such - Sri Lankan by birth - came here during the troubles there, and has done multiple courses HERE and is way above most GPs in my eyes. When she rings specialists and says: "You should do this!" she is so respected they answer, "Yes, Ma'am!"

Wouldn't trade her for the world - but she is not perfect... nobody is.... she missed the early signs of my heart failure, but I'm an Aussie bloke - we don't complain about mere death.... coupla days in bed and all's Jake again...

Storm coming.... (I know.. I know)......

The right to asylum is essentially about identity.
If you destroy your id documents before seeking asylum you destroy the fundamental proof of the truth of your claim.
In addition, you cannot be repatriated even if you cannot prove that you deserve protection.

This is why they are destroying their identity documents before entering Australian waters - but NOT before entering Indonesia or Malaysia through airports there. Smugglers don't care whether you are genuine or not, their price is the same.

It is a racket here, into Europe and into America.
