Anthony Albanese to miss by-election night in Dunkley to be in Sydney
to celebrate his 61st birthday amid the Mardi Gras parade

Anthony Albanese has confirmed he will not be in Melbourne on Saturday night as the Dunkley by-election result comes through as he will be in Sydney to celebrate his birthday and possibly attend the Mardi Gras parade.

February 28, 2024 -

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has defended his decision to spend Saturday night in Sydney hundreds of kilometres away from counting in the Dunkley by-election.

More than 100,000 people will head to the polls in the Melbourne south-east electorate on Saturday following the death of Labor MP Peta Murphy last December.

The by-election in the seat which includes Frankston and Mount Eliza will be a major test for Labor in the wake of its changes to stage three tax cuts.

Mr Albanese told Sky News Australia he needed to be in Sydney on Saturday night because it was his 61st birthday and he wanted to spend time with his family.

Saturday night is also when the Mardi Gras parade will be held in Sydney. Mr Albanese last year became the first sitting Prime Minister to march in the parade.

Heard on Channel 7 news this morning -

Dutton and Albo are in Dunkley today trying to drum up some votes.

Let's hope that lisping Albo loses -
he deserves a kick in the arse.

Shall we re-convene here tomorrow evening and analyse the result? I can't wait for the gloating, excuses and abuse that comprises all our political discussions.  Wink

We shall meet here tomorrow night or if a close call
on Sunday to discuss the results.

Let's hope that lisping Albo loses -
he deserves a kick in the arse for his mass immigration policies that no one wanted.

It depends on if the people of the Electorate take politics seriously or Media Celebrities acting as Politicians seriously.

It was once a given that by elections always went against the government, but the last few years have shown us that this is not the case now. Was the former MP popular in the electorate? How much of a margin did she have?

"We've all had enough"?

Funny thing is:  you won't change the system so we can all experience shared prosperity.

It's the bottom half of the population (likely not you and me) who are really being screwed in the current cost of living crisis.

All I have seen from you is attacks on "Marxism"; how do you propose to introduce shared prosperity?

easy -

Immigration numbers are far too high.

...

Immigration needs to be done carefully to take into account:

Available housing and
and the state of :
the roads,
Hospitals,
Schools,
The amount of crime/ violence,
The number of jobs available,
and Govt services.

The violence is explained here:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9874967/Doonside-postcode-death-Kayla-D...

Criminal psychologist explains why street violence is on the rise
Tim Watson-Munro, a criminal psychologist, said young people have always sought a sense of belonging and community within their peer group.
But he explained this becomes dangerous when young people find 'security in numbers' within dysfunctional groups.
'This leads to trouble,' he told The Daily Telegraph.
A former New South Wales detective said increased violence in lower socioeconomic communities was often due to a sense of hopelessness.

'A high proportion of public housing,
a high proportion of migrants and
a high proportion of unemployment,

in any city in the world that is a recipe for disaster,' Western Sydney University Dr Mike Kennedy said.
'The governments leave it to the police to deal with so they don't have to accept responsibility.'
