In short: Despite engaging a certified building and pest inspector before buying it, a Gold Coast family's new home was so infested with termites it had to be demolished.
They say the real estate agent knew about the pests but did not tell them.

So basically the Real Estate Agency has given the Pest Inspector a slice of the cake if he helps sell the House by ticking the box that says 'Termite Free and Safe'.
One could even say that the House was owned by the Real Estate's and Pest Inspector's (inbred) shared Cousin who was getting desperate to sell an 'unsellable' House.

EPO's who are supposed to protect the Environment. Every EPO assigned to Mining Companies in W.Aust were found Guilty by the Supreme Court of WA for falsifying all documentation in favour of the Mining Companies. It was never said if there was $$$ under the table to do it? Wink

USA has paid/does pay - many South American Dictators to 'keep their nations weak for America's National Security'. They would use CNN/ABC/etc Media to condemn these Dictators to the viewing public 'over the table', but secretly pay these Dictators 'under the table' to stay in power.

What I'm saying is that the Inspector 'took da monay'. Cheesy

having had termites, my next home was bluecore steel .

my daughters both worked for a while selling homes at forrest lake in brisbane

the termite guy who did a lot of houses out there used dilute milk to spray the slab to save money as the real stuff is bloody dear. ( he is now in prison)

many many houses are now affected

termites like fireants are a real threat.

my urban property has 30 fireant nests i just treated and i have been bitten numerous times

if they get to my farm it will be a disaster

the stuff they use ( and i suspect the stuff they use on termites) is pretty weak

its got to be "green friendly " now to keep adam bandt happy

i buy my own fire ant brew from the produce store as a commercial sale.

this stuff is super effective

termites are bad, fire ants are going to be worse

i have never seen ants that are so aggressive

Sure the stuff is dear but we are paying for it… our place to do was $4,000

Wanna know what I noticed after it was done?
We had a lot of ants (big ants… I think we’re sugar ants never bit anyone) in big nests near the house… I suspect it went under the slab … well after termite treatment… they were no more.
Totally gone!
And infact, spider population was gone also.
In the Gold Coast residence, were always a lot of daddy long legs… after termite treatment, they were no more.
So that termite stuff does more than rid of termites.
That’s the tell tale signs I now know so it’s the real stuff being used.

A chemical barrier, every 10 yrs is the best way to reduce risk. Even then you need a proper termite inspection once a year because even the barrier isn't 100%

What I am told is the barrier treatment we had (holes are drilled in concrete where necessary near house) that it will last for 8 years.

Re: whole neighbourhood being termite free….A post war house we once had, was termite free for decades! Then it happened! So needed treatment and some beams and ceiling needed replacing!
Just because there are none now in your area, doesn’t mean they are not in a neighbourhood coming your way anytime soon.
Another Gold Coast house we have halves with our daughter, was termite free but decided to get it treated. People ask why, it’s not affected. I said because … just in case.
And a notice of treatment is put on inside door of meter box with dates.

One house we sold had been treated and it helped to sell when we presented a current certificate of termite treatment.
