And you are not speaking from an innate instinct of the human psyche.

You are completely outside and above the "personal psychic sensibilities to tribal/clan lore to cults to schisms to sects, the religious instinct is continually arising and evolving", whatever the hell that load of bs is groping, in vain, to convey.

A sense of the metaphysical informs our comprehension of reality, sometimes psychosexually, like Agatha in the attic of your head.

the problem in the approach is that god (or whatever you want to call it)
cant be found in words or in thoughts or in pontifications or in arguements or in sacred texts or in srudy

only in experience

if you were to study everything every written or thought about on the subject of

" what a pineapple tastes like" to some one who had never tasted it
or 'what an orgasm feels like" to a virgin
or " what the colour Blue is like " to a blind person

they would never get there

these things can only be experienced

as someone who favours 'personal responsibility" i think the people who have experienced "god" had to do transendant things

jesus in the desert
buddha sitting under a tree for 12 days
ekhardt tolle sitting on a park bench for 2 years

it would appear that it takes a lot of deep work and meditation to rid the body of the ego.

studying, reading books, thinking   all amp up the ego.

to dissolve the ego (which appears to be neccessary), flow states and meditation may be an entry point

surfing, horse riding, climbing mountains, tantric sex (its no surprise people scream, oh god oh god )

of all the examples lao tzu would appear the best

much of what new age tries to do appears to be steal from his ideas

“Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths.

It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult - once we truly understand and accept it - then life is no longer difficult.

Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.”

Wait till we use A.I. to communicate with the Whales and Dophins... and when they find out about the Quaker's hunting them to near extinction. Genocide!

Well, YOU titled this thread 'new theory on God' , frightened, so so you thought it was new.

I merely copied in the articles heading. It's difficult, i know, when one relies solely on the headline to position one's argument.

I mean, look what you've done in this thread!

You're equipped for snarling, sneering and copy and pasting, fruit bat. I mean look at you, declaring a theory extinct because there was a lapse in commentary within it on a dying, obscure forum in which the average IQ of the couple of dozen participants is well and truly in the double digits?

And new to you? You? Probably. I mean, you just kept saying the universe was "everything" as though that actually meant something. And bizarrely defended that, as though it meant something.

But back on page 1, you'll see i made the comment that such ideas as put forward in this discussion are not even a little bit "new" to many of our forebears or indeed existing First Nations peoples.

But i don't expect you to understand that.

And, despite your dismissal of this theory, based on it not being discussed on Ozpol for a couple of days, it is being discussed in the halls of academia, in books, on television and even around kitchen tables.

get back to attatchment to your thoughts and being stuck in your head
it all feeds the ego
its all driving you away from connecting to god, source energy, the universe, nature , the path, the way .
it leads to a stifled, clenched, needy, judegmental ,  scarcity, mindset.
the realm  of the hungry ghosts
