God's law, from scripture......
If in defending your life, you kill a person,   .....killing an attacker, is not a 'murder'.

Nor does #6 of God's law apply.

Exodus 20:
13  Thou shalt not kill.

#6 applies to unlawful killing, i.e. an intentional killing, involving a direct motive, to kill, another person.

Self defence, in God's law, is self defence.

QUESTION;
In Australian courts of justice, do we see 'sworn' judges always follow
this commonsense   >> application of judicial authority, <<   [in Deuteronomy 25:1] in all of their determinations ?

And if not, why not ?      .....please explain,         .....what is 'wrong' today, with following the moral instruction, in Deuteronomy 25:1 ???

Possession of a shortened baseball bat or a club is illegal as they are classed as weapons.
Oven cleaner in the kitchen is legal, in the bedroom it is illegal.
