She was an inspector? Good on her. And no, shopping centers shouldn't be crawling with cops.

Actually the only time I saw a lot of cops in 3 at shops like Spotlight etc was during mandatory mask wearing in Melbourne/metro. The shop centres were crawling with cops… looking for an unsuspecting soul with no mask on to throw the book at them!

But since all that hullabaloo of masks, lockdowns etc has ended, I hardly see cops in shops like back then.

France is on the highest terrorism alert and
we have no security at all -
not one armed cop or security guard at any shopping centers. Roll Eyes

I’m only assuming it was one bullet.
He must’ve been close to her when lunging for her to not miss.
Lots of witnesses and filming going on… so she did the correct procedure of warning him and to drop his weapon… I think more than once.

I’d love to be rational but , I can imagine Albo and Penny Wong working the phones too ensure his belief in his god isn’t reported.

I sincerely hope I’m wrong and instead we can talk about the complete and utter failure of the long list of Nsw governments to deal with mental Illness people and instead just let them loose on the streets.

Always been a cheap alternative to close mental institutions and throw serious Ill people on too the streets rather than care them.

Hey, it was the best Olympics ever in Sydney.

Someone had to pay for it?

Plan ahead and review how you will function if and when it happens.... my plan with family along - all slower than me except son ... was to send them on and try to slow the bastard(s) down .... any weapon will do.... in your case gather the family and get the hell out of there....

You see - I think about such things and plan loosely in advance.... just in case..... I anticipate such things happening some time.... have done for ages....

That lady cop needs to be corrected/counseled on her aiming technique - we wanted the bastard alive to answer questions and give answers....... note the difference.... aim just above the nuts..... put a hole through his guts.... still body mass but lower.... he'll be more ready to talk and give up names etc.....

Got a name yet - 'known to police'..... hmmmmmmmmm

I think if one had the luxury of realisation and not go into by stander mode… and if the surprise attacker was at a distance to think of doing something to help… if it’s a knife… then even grabbing a chair for self defence can help… but if it’s a gun… what rhymes with gun…..run!
