Western culture is not a monoculture like Korea or Japan or primitive tribal societies or fundamentalist religious ones or communist dictatorships like China or authocracies like Russia or Burma or Afghanistan and scores of others.

It is Universalist in the sense that it is the only civilisation anyone can join and assimilate into. It is a significan aspect of its Christian heritage.
Yes, Western countries do havee their own particularities like language, history, customs, etc. At the same time they are open to the world because they value individual freedom, reason, free enquiry, self-correction by political plurality, social solidarity, etc.
Anyone from anywhere in the world can thrive in Western countries if they assimilate to these values. Many monoculture, political ideologies, religious fundamentalists cannot abide by some or all of these values. They exploit Western freedoms of conscience, assembly, speech to end or curtail such freedoms for those they disagree with.
Communists have a long and well documented history of such tactics, going back to Marx. Fascists and Muslims have learned a lot from them in pursuit of their jihad for Ummah and other brands of supremacism.

Three teenage boys will appear in court today charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s west last week.

About 3.40pm on Friday (12 April 2024), emergency services were called following reports two teenagers had allegedly been stabbed on Power Street, Doonside.

Before police attended, two males – aged 18 and 19 – presented to Blacktown Police Station with stab wounds.

They were treated by officers until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, the 18-year-old died at the scene. The 19-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital where he underwent surgery and has since been discharged.

Officers from Blacktown PAC with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad commenced an investigation into the incident under Strike Force Cooey.

Following inquiries, two boys – aged 16 and 17 – were charged and remain before the courts.

As part of ongoing investigations, three boys – two aged 15 and a 16-year-old – were arrested after attending Blacktown Police Station about 12am today (Wednesday 17 April 2024).

They have each been charged with murder and cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.

They have all been refused bail to appear at a children’s court today.

The ABC understands at the time of last night's attack he was no longer subject to any court orders or supervision by law enforcement.

Terrorism is supposed to be treated very seriously, either shot dead, or 33 years in jail (re:24y/old Mert Ney) if still alive ... We'll see what a 16y/old gets for terrorism

Already the victim is being made out to be the bad guy, but he's all but forgiven the terrorist, so he'll probably get just 4 years plus ankle bracelet for 12 months
