From what the footage show and reported by journalists there it was extremely tense situation as crowd numbers swell too at least 2000.

Police also started to appear in large numbers.

It was suggested police concentration was towards people they identified as ringleaders.

I saw abuse and bricks thrown and a massive very angry crowd.

I saw no police beating anyone but it must have happened.
