Someone should tell so called "artist" Bruce Munro that he has stuffed up the view with visual & plastic pollutants.

Called the Field of Light it has no place in the natural environment of Ayres Rock/Uluru.

Yes - astounding.... here we are talking about everyone valuing OUR national icons and heritage (of all including Aborigines) and they pull that kind of stunt to try to draw the crowds in. The spirits must be dumbfounded.

I recently posted elsewhere about the desecration by putting initials and dates and such, of a 'heritage site' for Aboriginal women birthing - on the one hand I said it was a disgrace to OUR overall cultural heritage - on the other I said - well - if they'd declared it earlier and made representations about protecting it - it might not have happened.

Really - all these 'sacred and heritage sites' should be listed NOW - not just suddenly found whenever there is a dollar to be made out of it. I thought they didn't want the White Man's Way but wanted to live their way.... so who's stopping them ... and yet they suddenly find ways to grab dollars when it suits?

Time this whole farce was pulled up.
