Well, well, well.

All I can make from that is that many of you are jealous and bitter of weed not being legal in Kangaroo Land.

You'll get there. I have faith in you.

In Australia, you have to go to an army base; a hospital with a prescription; a pub; a high school -- public or private (it does not matter); or a First Nations underground car park hang out, before you can say that you can legally smoke marijuana. Otherwise, don't go beyond 150km pass the city limits of Nimbin.

As i understand it, weed is perfectly legal in states and territories in Australia providing you have a prescription.

Has been largely decrimininalised here for years and years.

Nobody in Australia doing 25 years for possession of a j bag.

How's the US looking by comparison?

Are you joking, Marla?

You can walk around designated smoking areas of towns and cities, with a joint in hand. If the police pull up to check why you are drug-affected, all you have to do is pull out the prescription and show them the legally obtained marijuana.

And if you are on your last refill for a medical marijuana prescription, you can legally roll a joint with your prescription, and smoke in front of the police officer. The police officer has to stand at least 2 metres away from self-medicating citizens, to make sure the police don't have to explain themselves in post-work documentation. Imagine an officer getting called away on a job, but not being able to prosecute because some pot-head blew smoke too close to the officer.

Friends of mine in the USA said that marijuana is still so fashionable, compared to other drugs.

Meanwhile, heroin came back into fashion around Rockhampton, in the last 12 years. Methamphetamines are no longer the drug of choice.

That's not legalization, that's living in a police state. Weed should be legal for everyone in Kangaroo Land. Expect, of course, Blooby. Because he's a festering idiot

Get with it, rooters.

Since voting is mandatory in Kangaroo Land it's way past time to vote out all your middle-aged white anti-weed white males.

But if we legalize pot and it's (recorded) usage goes up, then you'll be saying that the increased use of crack is "because it's still illegal."

I think pot should be legal, obviously. But I also think crack cocaine should be legal. You can run the gamut of "bad" drugs and I will stop only at rape drugs. Nobody takes anaesthics ... well maybe someone ... but I don't mind infringing their rights if the drug is most usually used to render other people unconscious.

My strongest argument for legalizing all drugs, is that the pharmaceutical companies will provide even better drugs. We can have animal testing, volunteer testing, legally culpable public testing ... of a cornucopia of new drugs. Forever, making all users aware of the upsides and downsides of each drug. Testing in the only way that matters: with consequences, with choice. With alternatives.

I personally am a victim of alcohol, of nicotine, and of lithium. It's just bum-ass sad compared to the highs I experienced when I didn't care about the law. I'm not wrong. The law is wrong.

Listen up, people.

I don't give a single poo about your drug abuse history when I'm making my own.

Just legalize weed. It easy to do
